Road base limerock or recycled crushed concrete for the compactable layer underneath, then #57 rock on top if you want a loose stone finish, or asphalt millings if you want something that knits into a hard surface. Four inches of base, two of topping.
#57 gravel rock. Washed, so nothing clogs, and angular so it holds its voids under load. Ballast rock where the volume of water is serious.
Limerock base first, then paver sand as the bedding course and swept into the joints. Sand and pea rock mixed if you would rather buy the blend than make it.
Pea rock. Rounded and smooth enough to walk on barefoot. Edge it, because it will migrate.
Top soil, screened. Two to three inches over a graded base for new sod, half an inch at a time for filling low spots.
Decorative stone — white marble chips, river rock, lava rock, beach pebble or crushed coquina shell. All quoted per order rather than listed, because cost moves with grade, colour and availability.
