Stone
Seawalls, shoreline armouring, slope stabilisation and scour protection.
Large broken limestone, graded from roughly four inches up to a foot, placed rather than poured. It is the heaviest material we deliver and it exists for one purpose: stopping moving water from taking soil with it.
Standard along South Florida seawalls, canal banks and retention pond edges, and behind bulkheads as scour protection. Needs geotextile underneath or the fines beneath it wash out and the whole revetment settles.

How much to order
One cubic yard is 27 cubic feet. How far that goes depends entirely on how deep you are laying it.
| Depth | 1 cu yd covers | Yards per 500 sq ft |
|---|---|---|
| 2 in | 162 sq ft | 3.1 cu yd |
| 3 in | 108 sq ft | 4.6 cu yd |
| 4 in | 81 sq ft | 6.2 cu yd |
| 6 in | 54 sq ft | 9.3 cu yd |
| 12 in | 27 sq ft | 18.6 cu yd |
The arithmetic: length times width times depth, all in feet, divided by 27. A 40 by 20 ft area at 4 inches deep is 40 × 20 × 0.333 ÷ 27, which is about 9.9 cubic yards, so you order 10. Round up rather than down — coming up two yards short on a Friday costs a whole extra delivery.

Multiply length by width by depth, all in feet, and divide by 27 to get cubic yards. One cubic yard covers 162 sq ft at 2 inches, 108 sq ft at 3 inches, 81 sq ft at 4 inches or 54 sq ft at 6 inches. The calculator does it for you and converts to tons and truckloads.
No. Rip Rap is placed loose rather than compacted, so what you order is what you end up with. Order your plan volume, rounded up to the next whole cubic yard.
$47.50 per cubic yard, plus a flat $200 delivery per order across Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade. Minimum order is one cubic yard.
About 1.40 tons per cubic yard. A tri-axle carries roughly 18 cubic yards or 22 tons, whichever it reaches first, so a full load of Rip Rap is about 15.7 cubic yards.
We deliver anywhere from West Palm Beach to Miami — Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties. See the service area for lead times by county.
