Recycled
Cost-effective compactable base and fill. Sets up hard.
Old concrete crushed and graded back into a compactable base. Chemically it still wants to hydrate, so a properly compacted RCA base actually cements itself together over the first few weeks and ends up harder than limerock.
The cheapest structural base we carry and, for driveways and pads, frequently the best performing. It is grey rather than tan and there will be visible rebar impressions in the odd piece, which is why it goes under things rather than on top.

How much to order
One cubic yard is 27 cubic feet. How far that goes depends entirely on how deep you are laying it.
| Depth | 1 cu yd covers | Yards per 500 sq ft |
|---|---|---|
| 2 in | 162 sq ft | 3.1 cu yd |
| 3 in | 108 sq ft | 4.6 cu yd |
| 4 in | 81 sq ft | 6.2 cu yd |
| 6 in | 54 sq ft | 9.3 cu yd |
| 12 in | 27 sq ft | 18.6 cu yd |
The arithmetic: length times width times depth, all in feet, divided by 27. A 40 by 20 ft area at 4 inches deep is 40 × 20 × 0.333 ÷ 27, which is about 9.9 cubic yards, so you order 10. Round up rather than down — coming up two yards short on a Friday costs a whole extra delivery.

Multiply length by width by depth, all in feet, and divide by 27 to get cubic yards. One cubic yard covers 162 sq ft at 2 inches, 108 sq ft at 3 inches, 81 sq ft at 4 inches or 54 sq ft at 6 inches. The calculator does it for you and converts to tons and truckloads.
Yes. Recycled Crushed Concrete is compacted in lifts, so it loses roughly a fifth of its loose volume once it is watered and rolled. Order 20 percent above your plan volume. Our calculator adds that automatically.
$18.75 per cubic yard, plus a flat $200 delivery per order across Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade. Minimum order is one cubic yard.
About 1.40 tons per cubic yard. A tri-axle carries roughly 18 cubic yards or 22 tons, whichever it reaches first, so a full load of Recycled Crushed Concrete is about 15.7 cubic yards.
We deliver anywhere from West Palm Beach to Miami — Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties. See the service area for lead times by county.
