Who we are

A man's industry.
Allegedly.

Bulk aggregate in South Florida has worked the same way for forty years. Gravel Girl is woman owned, buys from the same pits, runs the same tri-axles down the same roads — and leaves out the part everybody complains about.

Call three yards, get three prices

Anyone who has ordered material in South Florida knows the routine. You call three suppliers. Nobody publishes a price, so you ask what it is going for today. You get three different numbers, none of them written down anywhere, and a strong sense that the number depends on how you sounded on the phone.

Then the quote comes back by the ton, while your plan is drawn in cubic yards, so you are converting with a density figure you had to look up. Somewhere in the call there is a truckload minimum, which means an eighteen yard order for a four yard job. And nobody asks where on the property you actually want it, which you find out when the driver dumps it across the apron of your driveway.

None of that is a conspiracy. It is just what happens when an industry never has to explain itself, because the customer has nowhere else to go.

Same game. We published the rules.

Gravel Girl is not a different kind of trucking company. The rock comes out of the same pits. The trucks carry the same eighteen yards. What is different is everything around the material:

  • Every price is on this website. All 27 materials, per cubic yard, no phone call required to find out what a yard of limerock costs. The price sheet is right here.
  • Priced by the cubic yard — the unit your plan is already drawn in. No tonnage conversion, no density table, no coming up two yards short on a Friday afternoon.
  • One cubic yard minimum. No truckload rule. If you need a single yard of topsoil for one planting bed, that is a real order.
  • One flat delivery fee across all three counties, charged once per order. Not a distance table, not a fuel surcharge that turns up on the invoice afterwards.
  • You say where it goes. Gate code, low branches, soft ground, the exact spot on the slab. Tell us when you order and the driver plans the approach.

Everything on that list is something the industry could have done at any point in the last forty years. It simply never had to.

What woman owned actually means here

It is not a sticker in the corner of a website. Gravel Girl is owned and run by a woman, and that is where it shows up: the pricing, the supplier relationships, the scheduling, and the invoice that has to be right the first time.

To be straight about it — the trucks are driven by licensed CDL drivers, the same as at every yard in the state. The difference is not who is behind the wheel. It is who answers the phone, whether they have the authority to confirm your price on the spot, and whether the number they say out loud is the number that lands on your invoice.

This is built for contractors, landscapers and builders who have been quoted badly enough times to spot the difference — the ones who already know what a yard of limerock should cost and are tired of having to ask. The goal is not to win the job because the company is woman owned. It is to win it because the price was published, the quantity was right and the truck turned up.

Better is a specific claim

Saying you are better than an entire industry is cheap unless you say in what way. So, specifically:

27materials, every price published
1 ydminimum order, no truckload rule
3counties, one flat delivery fee
Next dayon most weekday orders before noon

If any of that stops being true, it comes off the website.

Where we run from

Headquartered in Boca Raton, which puts the yard roughly in the middle of the route — about forty minutes north to West Palm Beach, forty-five south to Miami. That is the practical reason the whole service area runs on one flat delivery fee instead of a distance table: from Boca, the ends of the territory are about the same distance away.

Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade. Outside that, call and ask — the answer is sometimes still yes.

Ready when you are.

Pick your material, enter how many cubic yards and see the delivered number before you talk to anyone.
